As is your desire, so is your will.
As is your will, so is your deed.
As is your deed,
So is your destiny.
We tend to focus so much on external goals, on tasks to complete, on plans to get them concrete, on objectives and practical things to obtain and stuff to get. But we rarely think about any internal goals, any feelings we wish to achieve, any sensations to experience, anything new in the field of emotional intelligence.
How do you want to feel?
Knowing how you actually wish to feel is the most potent form of clarity that you can have. Making those feelings to come to life is the most creative and the most powerful thing you can do with your life.
When I was studying Psychology, back in uni, one of my teachers said something that stood in my mind, he said that behind every emotion, there is another emotion. For instance, when you feel angry, you feel angry because you were (as an example) made to be ashamed of something, so you felt embarrassment. And because of that feeling you are angry as you did not wish to show it or you did not wish for someone to spot you doing that thing that caused you to feel that way in the first place. Just like this, behind any goal, there is an emotion.
“You are not chasing the goal itself, you are chasing the feeling that you hope attaining those goals will give you.”, mentions Danielle LaPorte. When you are clear on how you wish to feel, the pursuit itself will become more satisfying.
Your desire is the most creative tool in the universe to achieve your goals. And the essence of your desire is a feeling.
Desire is a teacher:
“When we immerse ourselves in it without guilt, shame or clinging, it can show us something special about our own minds that allows us to embrace life fully.” Mark Epstein
So, how do you want to feel and what is it that you can do to generate those feelings more often, so that you can be happier and more grateful towards life?
Here’s a list to being with to get you inspired:

Everything we do is driven by the desire to feel in a certain way.
“The heart generates the largest electromagnetic field in the body… The electrical field is about 60 times greater in amplitude than the brain waves. The magnetic component of the heart’s field, which is around 100 times stronger than that produced by the brain … can be measured several feet away from the body.” Rollin McCraty, PhD.
Feelings are magnetic. Feelings are indicators of your personal reality. Feelings are how you perceive life. Perception informs you how you live.
Your feelings are the road signs directing you to your soul.
